Terms of Service

1. The service

LocalOutrank ("the service") is a UK-focused local SEO analysis tool that returns Google local pack data and AI-generated recommendations. We may add, change, or remove features at any time.

2. Your account

You're responsible for keeping your login credentials safe. Don't share your account, and tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access. You must be at least 18 and have authority to enter into a contract on behalf of any business you represent.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for anything illegal, harmful, or fraudulent.
• Scrape, mirror, resell, or redistribute the service or its outputs in bulk to third parties.
• Probe, attack, overload, or attempt to bypass any security feature.
• Reverse-engineer the service or its underlying models beyond what UK law permits.
• Submit personal data of others without a lawful basis to do so.

4. AI-generated content

The service uses third-party AI models (currently provided by xAI) to generate plans, summaries, and chat replies based on local pack data. AI output is provided as a recommendation, not professional SEO advice. It can be wrong, biased, or out of date. You're responsible for reviewing and validating anything you act on.

Subject to the rights of our AI providers, the AI-generated content produced for your account is yours to use commercially, including in client deliverables.

5. Data sources

Local pack data, ratings, and review counts are surfaced through the LocalOutrank Engine, which aggregates Google Maps and third-party providers. The service does not control the accuracy of upstream data. Rank order can change between requests and may differ from what end users see in their own physical location. Our current sub-processors are listed in our Privacy Policy and may change over time with notice.

6. Pricing and billing

While the service is in early access, it may be free or subject to usage limits. When paid plans are introduced, the prevailing terms, prices, and payment provider terms will be presented at checkout. UK VAT, where chargeable, is shown clearly.

7. Cancellation and termination

You can close your account at any time by emailing hello@localoutrank.co.uk. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms or that present a security risk. We'll give reasonable notice unless the situation is urgent.

8. Availability and changes

We work hard to keep the service available, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted access. We may schedule maintenance, throttle abusive traffic, or pause features without notice when necessary.

9. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" to the maximum extent permitted by law. We don't promise specific ranking outcomes, revenue uplifts, or any particular result from following AI-generated recommendations.

10. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under UK law (such as fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or statutory consumer rights).

Subject to that, our total liability to you in any 12-month period for any and all claims arising from the service is capped at the greater of (a) the amounts you paid us in that period, or (b) £100. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, lost data beyond what regulation requires, or losses you could have mitigated.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your unlawful use of the service, your breach of these terms, or your infringement of third-party rights through content you submit or actions you take based on the service's output.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email or in-app banner at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after that date constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, save that you may have additional rights as a consumer under your local law.
